Thoughts Neighborhood Q&A

@BeardedJay1984 two questions actually. 1. What brought you over to the forum?:) 2. Does that beard ever cause you any trouble...like do people (other than me) want to touch it and stuff? How do you handle that?

@FireflyEyes What do you consider to be your best personal trait?
By personal trait, did you mean personality trait? or just any trait that is mine?
Personality trait: I don't know if it is the best, but I'm very open. I'm always happy to try something new (usually several times). Talk with someone new. Go somewhere new. I'm very open to different ideas/foods/experiences and so on.
Overall trait: athleticism. I think being able to get my body to do what I want it to has been a blessing. I'm very high energy and through sports I have been able to meet and connect with all sorts of people as well. Although now I only do solo sports, I hope to find my next team soon. #TeamNoPants

oh well im more of the ghosting type , not too sure of forumn etiquete here but yah my bad XP
Welcome to the forum! Two questions: 1. What do you mean by “ghosting type”? 2. What brought you to our side of fcn?

@CantBeTamed If your house was on fire...what would be the first three things you grabbed on the way out?
Aside from the important things (keys, money, documents etc.) I would grab :
1. The Jesus figurine that my grandmother left me. She had it since she was a child and was holding it as she took her last breath at the age of 92.
2. My mother’s bracelet. It’s the only thing I have of hers.
3. The teddy bear that I’ve had since I was a child and still sleep with most nights.

Sorry, I did mean personality trait. Thank you for answering covering both aspects though!

I agree being open is a great trait to have. Been trying to be more open myself regarding new foods and experiences. Haven't been completely successful, so it's a work in progress.

Being athletic is such a blessing, no doubt. I'm sure you have worked hard at getting your body to a point where you can do a lot of things with it. It's extremely hard work and takes commitment along with dedication.

@Gujjuguy Have you always been a positive person? How you stay positive when life takes a turn for the worse?

Good question, PAN.

I've always been a happy go lucky person since as far as i can remember. Even when i was a kid i remember being friends with all the other kids. I didn't have any enemies or any person who used to dislike me.
I'm not the kind of person who would try to discourage people and bring their moral down. I like to be a source of inspiration for everyone but i also don't want to inspire someone to do stuff that is wrong.

When life takes a negative turn, i take it as being a corrective/consolidating phase and keep reminding myself that "this too shall pass". Also having been through some really downward dips in life teaches one to be humble and respect circumstances and people. You don't want to kick someone down when they're not at their best or suffering from a downfall because you yourself know how that feels.

So I think failure is one of the main things which has taught me to stay polite and positive with everyone.
The other thing is people suffering from hunger, poverty, joblessness, being homeless, etc. makes me feel how lucky i am to have a life where I'm well off and don't have to struggle to have even the most basic necessities of life and inspires me to spread positivity whenever i can by helping those poor ones in whatever small ways i can.

F!! There's so much more to say!

But I'll just say this...
I feel like I'm a huge piece of sponge which absorbs/soaks moisture (in this case negativity and pressure) and I'm still capable of absorbing much more but i need someone to hold me close and squeeze me tightly to get all of that moisture out so I'm ready to absorb all over again. I've been doing it on my own till date but i hope i find someone so we can help eachother out in squeezing the moisture out of eachother and help eachother in being fresh and positive!

Oukay those last few lines ^ might've gotten a little off track but i hope it gives your pervy side of the mind a little joy too for whoever reads this lol ;)

Great answer Gujj! Was wonderful to read and get your thoughts on the subject.

I totally agree with you on feeling lucky for what I have in life. I've been extremely fortunate and do my best to take nothing I have for granted.
