I do. It's incredibly unwise to share your pictures or personal information with some of the chatters. But to qualify as "catfish," one must employ deception tactics which is more than just a few fake pictures.
Stanford....trust me...it was more then just pictures lol....but ive caught so many using fake pics...soooooooo annyoing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm pretty sure a lot of people use fake pictures but I don't have suspicious about anyone in particular. I don't think anyone I talk with a lot uses fake pictures. I don't really care whether or not people I don't consider to be 'friends' are being honest
Chat has seen years upon years upon years of catfish. They will always be here, with their fake pics. Personally for me, i don't really care regardless. I don't chat with people because of how they look, but instead, they way they are, if that makes any sense.
LOL! I dont chat with people for how they look either, i dont care one way or the other...thats why it bothers me so much...i dont see any point in lying about it so im like...ugh...just be honest like..ur looks dont matter so quit pretending to be anything but who you really are.
People are crazy insecure. They have issues, maybe they were treated badly irl. Who knows why people do what they do. Maybe they are afraid of the trolls. Who the fuck knows. I just hope someday they figure out that we don't care what they look like. If people don't like what you look like people, they dont have to look. Some of my favorite chatters are the ones I've never laid eyes on. Like stan up there. Fuck knows what stan looks like, but he's hilarious. Uncatfish people. Be you. Fuck the haters. Damn the man, Save the empire.
I hate how i look lol but i still show my damn face...it is what it is and sure ive been picked on but im still me...i love talking to stanford hes great even though he wont show his damn face.
I love you guys lots but sure as sin is for sale in King's Cross, there is no way I'd ever consider hooking up with anyone from THIS chat. That being said, anyone who'd be interested in me here is not a person I'd want to meet either. Makes it kinda hard to get 'catfished' with my reasoning.
Isn't 'catfishing', an attempt to con someone out of something, like money? The 'catfish' with the sob story about 'love to do this but I can't afford it', is hoping to extract a financial benefit as the purpose of the deception. I've heard a few stories here of folks being stung for cash and falling for it. I guess like all things, there are 'levels' to catfishing too. It might be as simple as wanting someone to talk to or an attempt to pull a scam and rip someone off and every variation in between.
