I watched a video on every billboard number one since it began in the 50s, and some of the songs were absolutely dire. Some classics though.
Then as soon as the Beatles arrive and to a lesser extent the beach Boys, the whole sound of music changed, it's really amazing hearing them in the context of the time they came out in, game changers.
