The best was at the last Olympics where they lost the last round robin game and thought they didn’t make the medal round, but found out in the middle of an interview that bc of tie breaking procedures they DID make the medal round and they went from “wut” to “eeeeeee” and laughing and crying etc
Then to get to the gold medal game they immediately had to play the top seeded team that had had just beaten them but they were in “just happy to be here” mode, all silly and happy and they FUCKING BEAT THEM and got to the gold medal game!!!
(Then they lost and got the silver medal but whatever)
