Even when I was at university the second time around I had an uphill battle convincing the new guys that "it's internet slang, it just means bad" isn't any less homophobic or more acceptable and they were inner city nerds, not bogans

Cafes in QLD turn on the braziers at the outside tables when it gets below 23° which is a bit silly, but 16° and the UK are breaking out the BBQ and sunbaking in parks haha

Sunburn definitely not as bad over there, a little pink then gone the next day. As opposed to skin peeling for a week and extreme cancer risk here!
I quite liked the weather, it was really only the inability to buy full-strength softdrinks anywhere because everything was diet to avoid the sugar tax that annoyed me at all
