Hope the crow had two passions: gaming and skateboarding. Her bedroom was a neon shrine to both—with LED lights, controller chargers, and a suspicious smell of burnt pizza rolls.
Bailey the skunk, on the other hand, was a cinematic drum goddess. She worked the snack counter at the local cinema called “The Reel Smell.” Her dream? To run Hollywood. Her backup plan? To run Hollywood into the ground.
They were opposites in smell and species, but besties in beats and bangers.
Saturday morning.
Hope crash-landed through Bailey’s window wearing a gaming headset and one kneepad.
“WE GOT A GIG!” she cawed, faceplanting into a beanbag shaped like a popcorn bucket.
Bailey, mid-drum solo on her cereal bowls, blinked. “You mean like a music gig?”
“No. A live-action musical video game cinematic experience,” Hope squawked.
“Basically: skateboarding, music, lasers, interpretive dance, and probably lawsuits.”
Bailey blinked again. “You had me at lawsuits.”
Scene: The abandoned skate park turned taco truck graveyard.
Hope ollied off a half-pipe shaped like a giant burrito, holding a smoke machine under one wing.
Bailey banged on her travel drums (which were actually upturned nacho trays), summoning birds, cats, and one very confused jogger.
“Cue the fog!” Bailey yelled.
Hope pressed the smoke button. Nothing happened. Then everything happened.
The fog machine exploded in a geyser of glitter and churro crumbs.
“WE’RE MAKING HISTORY!” Hope screamed, temporarily blind.
“WE’RE MAKING LAWSUITS!” Bailey added, dramatically falling into a barrel of expired guacamole.
They skated. They drummed. They rapped. Hope performed an aerial kickflip into a sunroof. Bailey drop-kicked a trumpet-playing possum off the snack bar. It was art. It was chaos. It was deeply illegal.
By the end, a crowd had gathered. Some clapped. Some filmed. One person offered Bailey a job directing an indie film called Exploding Burrito Queens.
Hope and Bailey fist-bumped in slow motion.
“Buh buh besties,” they said in unison, just before the churro truck caught fire.

(The churro truck was fine. Mostly. Bailey still wants to run Hollywood. Hope now owns four broken skateboards and an accidental YouTube channel with 300K subscribers.)
