There was a king (maybe Persian) that was taken hostage, and he was so insufferable that apparently when he tried to bribe his way out, they got so annoyed with him they melted the gold down he tried to bribe them with and poured it down his throat.
They then skinned him and displayed him like a stuffed doggo
