I’ve never read any Shakespeare
It can be iffy to get into, always was a bit iffy about it in school, but they always tried to do Romeo and Juliet.

Stab and twist? Many timesHave you considered the Bailey method?
We done Julius Caesar and HamletThankfully when I reached Year 9 they had Macbeth on as our part of the English GCSE and it is just a much better story of ambition, betrayal and the horrors men will do to achieve their goals in life.
And the madness that comes with committing evil to achieve your goals. Banquo reaching for the crown. Lady Macbeth throwing herself from the tower unable to wash clean that last spot of blood. Macbeth becoming a complete tyrant.
Okay this I can identify with lol. I was very good at not actually reading the things I was told to readWe did discuss them, themes etc I just didn’t read them lol

Oh I did enjoy Rome though it was good fun just very rushed towards the endI think most people have seen Charleton Heston's Mark Antony speech or the Marlon Brandon one at the funeral of Caesar.
When a great actor or actress can do Shakespeare it is just fantastic.
Damn shame we didn't get James Purefoy in HBO's Rome do something similar.
