Having not read any of his, I can't comment except to say, he is one author who has kept reoccurring now and again in my thoughts. I hear his name quite often when the subject of books comes up. I really should make a point to read something of his. I've not yet attempted to write a fantasy, but the appeal to do one is there. My characters tend to be rooted in reality but there is that temptation to take things bigger and bolder and a bit 'larger-than-life' in a fantasy. There must be a whole swag of new and unused by me adjectives I can partake of to take a story into the realms of 'super'.

Great books filled with real characters with real hopes, dreams..
The Long Earth series he did as well are amazing.
Have a couple of his books signed as well. Very polite and had lots of time to speak to people at signings and events.

His collaboration with Neil Gaiman on Good Omens is outstanding. It,s about the apocalypse, An Angel and a Demon trying to stop it from happening. It’s getting made into a TV film just now with David Tennant and Michael Sheen in the roles. It should be Awesome.
