I was there last year Lakeside, my cousin lives in Brisbane, we took the city cat up river and spent the day wandering around there. How weird.

I was there last year Lakeside, my cousin lives in Brisbane, we took the city cat up river and spent the day wandering around there. How weird.

I rarely get to the city except when it's someone else's idea. I did do a walking tour to learn my way around when I first arrived in Brisbane a couple of years ago (Ex-Mt Isa girl). I don't think I've done similar since. There is a major shopping centre close by and that is enough for me.

I know what you mean, my cousin lives in bulimba, we really enjoyed Oxford street there. The atmosphere was so relaxed compared to the city centre. I’d go back in a heart beat.

The equivalent of 'Oxford st' on the northside is Kedron Park Rd, the Grange. It's all cafes and social spots.

Might be back there in October, I’ll need to check it out. A quiet bar with a bucket of beer people watching and I’m in heaven.

We have 2 major shopping centres near us bluewater and lakeside ( YOUR FAMOUS) hate both spend too much there
