Take as many breaks as you can so you don't become overwhelmed, always see an advisor when trying to come up with what classes to take, and mostly have fun Also try to find a professor you can have a good rapport with because that professor may be able to write you letters of recommendations later on
Don't forget to eat and sleep. It might sound like common sense, but you'd be surprised how quick you forget the obvious stuff when you've been the basement all night working on a project due at 9am.
Budget! Even if you get a scholarship the money burns up quick. If possible look into saving money by getting used books or using online sources. Second: look at working for the campus, some colleges will give credit hours / wave humanity courses as well as pay you so you can have a little extra on the side.
Be smart and get active in whatever vocation you are perusing. Get a job in it or even volunteer. The more exposure you have to it the better time you will have after college.
