Awe, a shame. Hopefully you are not needed at work. The warmth is returning. It will be much too nice to be stuck doing something you would prefer to not be doing.

Yea it sucks sitting around not knowing if you'll get called in, but at the same time it's more hours and money lol

I am paid now by salary so the hours no longer matter. Thankfully I have it quite easy, I only actually work 35 hours a week. I forego lunch breaks generally since I work remotely, allowing me an extra hour of leisure at the end of each day.

Yea I'm still hourly until i becomes journeyman

fortunately i am NOT on call this weekend; alas i never completed the journeyman process for HVAC or as an electrician... & then there are those unfinished AA degrees... *sigh* a jack of all trades, and master of none.

the two times i worked salary , i ended up working 80 hrs a week & getting paid for 40 hrs; i've typically made more money hourly .

but i fear i shall end up like the Grasshopper from Aesop's fable, without the good graces of the queen ant.

Barbie you ARE lucky. I work 60 hours a week and still probably don't even make half of what you do

well, we'll just have to figure out how you too can get a sheepskin, @HereComesTrouble99 ... just remember, with great reward, comes great responsibility.
