Well I have to admit, living and working in Germany gives me a different perspective, especially watching all the clown shows being played out before our disbelieving eyes.
USA being led by an idiot claiming he is immune, and the UK being led by BJ.
I think Matt Lucas would have done a better job of being PM.

This is supposed to be a light hearted thread, the virus has done it´s fair share of damage world wide.
My point was and still is, despite the severity of the situation Germany has a good grip on things and the population, whether German or like myself, an Ex-Pat. feel safe and well informed on the situation.
Claims of immunity and putting other peoples lives at risk with, what can only be described as, irresponsible claims and behaviour, or in the case of BJ, Totally confusing rules, are not the expected behaviour of leaders.
Your meme suggested Germany had nothing to worry about yet they have the highest rates of cases atm since the pandemic began..which means there was.a set back
I don't understand how you think 350K cases in Germany declares them "winning". Your people are suffering.
I think it's highly offensive that during a time when America is struggling and people we personally know are catching this virus and so many losing lives.
That anyone finds it a time to make humor or to slam the Trunp administration for negligence.
This is our life. Unless you are here and living through this chaos you don't understand.
For us, it isn't humorous. People are worried about eviction, education, death, standing in food lines for boxes to feed their family.
I think people should be showing a sense of empathy during this time.
The lack of empathy for lives being destroyed seems very cold and cruel
Nowhere did I say "Winning" and humour has proved as effective in dealing with crises as anything else.
Hence the idea of this thread, I wish I had come up with the idea, but I refuse to let something change who I am and if you can´t look it in the eye and say "Bollocks to you", then we might as well just wait indoors for the end.

I can´t take the credit forstarting this thread, but if you really want to discuss the serious side of the virus there is actually a thread for that too, so how about having a go at others for their posts, I´m sure they would be more receptive to your input.

I also find it laughable the way my my native UK government is handling the crisis because the altrnative is to worry myself sick.
I do everything in my power to keep my son safe and still try to have a normal childhood.
Even when I served in the British Army (22 years) humour was an important weapon in a persons armoury.
If you want to pick a fight I seriously suggest you find someone more suited to your tastes.
