Since I joined this forum a week ago I have posted several true confessions. I have also tried out several 'role play' conversations, which apart from one I have enjoyed. When I write, on sexual themes, I use crude words - like cunt, cock, tits, fuck - as I do sometimes during actual sex. Someone suggested such language gets in the way - that its rudeness is too sexually aggressive and I would read more erotica if I used more ladylike language, euphemisms or accurate gyneacological terms.

I am not sure I could, or want to, change how I write: but I am interested as to whether my using those sort of words is distracting, off-putting or erotic?

Honestly I like the crude terms, paints a more harsh but honest image when you use them, but understand why people would prefer more articulate or elegant phrases, I say as long as you're happing with using them go ahead, but also there's nothing wrong with broadening your horizons and playing around with different phrases and terms in your work.

Personally speaking I find it SO erotic when these words come from a woman's mouth, it intensifiesthe feelings, surely everyone in their right mind loves that "dirty" talk

I've got such comments before, too.

I guess though it depends a lot on personal tastes. I tend to start off euphemistic becoming more graphic or vulgar as seems to suit the mood. But there have been times a man will lead with very visceral language...so as they say "follow my lead"

I'm curious how people feel about accurate gyneacological terms...

I find, when playing, I begin with the correct (or polite terms) but will slip into other more graphic terms depending on where we are going or what we are playing. There is a coyness and flirtatious quality to “polite” terminology that can be sexy in and of itself.
