My favorite was already mentioned - Wild Theme from "Local HERO". Also like the theme from the Ken Burns Gettysburg "Ashokan Farewell". And "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" - the theme from "Bonnie and Clyde."
I just ran through this. Quintessential 80's sound to it. I like the cover of The Call's "I Still Believe"
Jack White performing the soundtrack for "Cold Mountain". Jack White is a guy that truly understands the roots of music. Bluegrass and folk music aren't for everyone but sometimes it helps me stay grounded....
Love the entire soundtrack to O, Brother Where Art Thou, especially EmmyLou Harris’ “Didn’t Leave Nobody but the Baby”.
Heavy Metal was such a cool film in its day, great collection of AOR rock singles, but this little gem by Nazareth (very underrated band imo) was always my favorite track.
I was watching the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special tonight. Yeah, I said it. For a children's cartoon, there's some good jazz by Vince Guaraldi going on in the background.
I got 2 from the same group, just awesome stuff. PLEASE listen to Loved By the Sun, vocals by Jon Anderson from Yes:
Apologies if this song has already been posted. I tried scrolling back but my phone apparently can't be bothered today. Great movie with an awesome soundtrack and inspired by one of my favorite classical works (Anabasis by Xenophon).
