Filter/autoreplace - the word "censor"

Hi all. It appears that when you type and send the word "censor", the other person sees "downcat". Is there a particular reason behind this replacement?

I have contacted one of the moderators, but got a rather snooty response that didn't clarify much (see screenshot).

Could someone please be more helpful with this one? This genuinely baffles me.

Yeah, it's a filter in place.
