first date ideas for someone that's not quite used to dating anymore :)

this may not be suitabke for drama. but people pick fights over the dumbest shit and argue so..

I'm talking to a couple people offline. and i haventh been on a actual date in almost 4 years after getting married. i am newly single irl and looking to get back out there and give life hell. so i could use some good first date ideas. anyone bother to share?

 

Dinner date is always a good start, go for a meal and try to get to know them

 

im scared I'll be unattracted by the way they chew their food lol. but its a good idea. then ill know from the start.

 

Coffee date. Then it can be as long or as quick as you need. It's casual, putting both parties at ease.
If you are geting on, and there is a park nearby, go for a walk.

i dontd like people that chew loud lol. they sound like cows. i have a slight case of misophonia. and loud chewing drives me up a wall. :/

my type of fun is whitewater rafting and hiking lol. its hard to find women into the same stuff

 

I'm with Freya on the "coffee" date. Find a nice little bistro or coffee bar and just relax and get to know each other. Then you can find out if you like some of the same things. There's no pressure and it's not as formal as a dinner date. If the two people hit it off, you can make a date for dinner and a movie or whatever. Personally, I would prefer to find out what kind of food she likes and cook for her but that's not for everyone.

 

i prefer to cook as well. some slow music and a candle lit setting. *moi perfecto*

I would personally prefer something that gets the blood pumping - go-cart racing, laser tag... We have an indoor skydive joint here (big fan simulator). It's a bit much to spend on a first date, but I'm just throwin' ideas out there.
