There is no reasoning behind it. They just needed to find something new. Before they wanted that Germany shut it's borders. And that happened a few weeks ago. So now they come up with things like that.

That's a very mature response. But yet you have a problem with what I said to Auto. Which is funny since you have done the exact same thing to me twice. And completely unsolicited since I have never spoken a word to you up untill this point. Where was your outrage last night? You were quiet hiding in a corner somewhere not saying a word. You didn't say anything to me until someone else did. You are a hypocrite and coward .
Oh, I'm sure there would be plenty of non sequiturs -- it's the challenge to try to follow the line and see where these thoughts come from as well as where the mistakes in reasoning are. I think that trying to understand people that parrot even the stringiest of fringe notions, can help counter that by providing information - or as governor might see it, teach a little competency. I think the governor meant people that are in positions of leadership or purport to be thought leaders among others. But certainly there are also adversaries intending to deceive and push agendas to make it difficult to govern. That's what the Russians have been doing, even back when they were Soviets. Now there are much better tools (e.g. internet) to aid the deceivers in their missions.
I think if truth is going to prevail, it is worth trying to understand what makes the lies, even outrageous, obvious lies, so able to be accepted.
(But, honestly, I was mostly joking about wanting to hear how the virus facilitates a pro-refuge initiative - the more I think about it now, the more curious I am how such a case could be presented - what leaps of logic there must be in that.)

Freedom of speech only applies to the government not restricting speech . And even then it's not absolute. It's illegal to call in bomb threats in some states it's illegal to make what's called terroristic threats. But it doesn't apply to businesses or companies. They can prohibit whatever they want . So everyone complaining about ' free speech' on this site or the lack of it is a fucking idiot.

I'll never ever be fond of that user you've named. I don't appreciate how she can be to people and treat others including myself because I've seen it with my own eyes in chat when I was once a chatter. Someone always has an issue with her from the people I've spoken with. So I'm definitely someone who won't be defending her at all.

What denial? In U.S. all social activities/businesses are shut down, 10+ million of people are out of work as a result of this (because measures are taken to avoid/slow the spread). We have a stay at home order until April 30th. Only essential services are operating.
With 330+ million people spread across 50 states and such a vast area, it's not easy to respond to.
