Hi, I am currently pursuing my PhD Doctoral in Physics. But I am really tired of academia and would like to hear some alternative jobs as soon as I complete my research.
I mean wow congrats on making it that far. Most likely you are going to end up being a professor, Why don’t you just apply to be a TA and inspire other students ? Also applying to museums help that way you can help people connect with the subject. You should also try industries such as the electricial , mechanical etc ...
I would look into high-tech manufacturing, research/development, etc. Anything that isn't hands-on in relation to your academic pursuit is probably a waste of your time if you have high aspirations. Have a constantly updated resumé ready at all times. No offense to museums and their aficionados, but you don't need a degree to expand on artifact info tags. Waste of your time, unless no one else is hiring and you simply need to pay rent/etc.
