Language doubts and questions

I really didn't know where to put this thread but here seems appropiate after giving it some thought.
Many of us speak a wide variety of languages since we come from all sorts of places. While the lingua franca here is English, many of us might have some doubts regarding other languages.
And that's the purpose of this thread! To freely ask questions related to the use of a certain language so that (preferably) a native or someone with a good degree of mastery over that language can clear it up.
There are certain questions that a dictionary cannot solve, little things regarding context that only by living in the language you can fully grasp and so on.

Respect is a very Important part of Korean culture.

Korean honorifics are pretty easy to understand. Most are actual words meaning they have a literal meaning and can be used by themselves or with the persons name in front. There are a few words that you would use based on someone's age such as ajumoni and ajusshi. The prior is used for a woman in her forties to sixties and the latter is used for a man in his forties to sixties.

The very first time you meet someone who is Korean they will typically asked you how old you are after learning your name. This may seem rude to people but it is just to let them know which honorific to use. This way you will not offend people for using the wrong honorific.

Ah, I don't want this thread to die! I had a question come to mind a few days ago, but can't recall...
