My main issue with the new chat (which I only found out today, as I'm using it for the first time) is that the trigger for sending too many chats too quickly is waaaaay too sensitive. I was typing at normal speed, with less than 10 other people, and it was constantly pinging me that I needed to be careful or I was going to be muted. I have never had this issue with the old chat, despite sometimes responding to more people more quickly than I was today. I understand wanting to cut down on bots, but I feel there must be a better middle ground.

I do also agree that I like the look of the old site better, but think that the new interface and features are leagues better. Luckily, it should be fairly easy to adjust the color scheme and maybe a few other things to make it more comfortable looking and less generic.

Working on optimizing the text/flood ratio's now.

I definitely agree with you, this warning messages that pop up when you’re trying to share gifs is WAYYY to sensitive! I understand having some of these controls in main chat rooms but if you’re having a private chat one on one with someone, it should NOT even have any of those type of warnings. I shouldn’t be muted unless it’s from the other user rather than by an auto bot for sending to many private messages in a row or whatever. I really hope the old chat does not get taken down.
