Many reasons. Let's go for a sane one, you are body conscious, shy and want to be liked. So someone has a better body than yours and you go that route. You want that popularity.. But as we've just seen another caught her with multiple, multiple accounts over various genders you also think on the fact that it's done with intent to hurt and harm... If your mind thinks people don't get attached, it's not real, it's only online. Then you don't understand people...
