The Democratics are trying to redefine themselves after an election they shouldn't have lost. Republicans are redefining themselves in the image of a 71 year old with the emotional equivalent of a 3 year old. The Grand Old Party doesn't exist anymore.
Pure Socialist ? That's a bit of a stretch. There are divisions within the Democratic party. So they can't be pure Socialists. Besides that's a word that's thrown around like Communism was during the cold war. Oh look it's the big bad Socialists ! Look out ! Most people who throw it out there don't even know what it is , or why it's supposed to be bad
All i know is that JFK would not even recognize the Democratic Party of today !! Let alone be elected El Comandante by it today !!
And Reagan wouldn't recognize the Republican party today. He actually would be considered a moderate today lol

I wasn't a fan of Reagan but I don't think he was a bad Preside.nt . I actually like how he dealt with Russia.
And dont forget the Dixiecrats that switched parties after Brown vs Board of education. They played a part in the partys development also.
