Well I guess this thread is obsolete now since Tr.ump already ' shut down the border ' Apparently they did it two days ago. Yeah so they called him and he signed an order . And said ' no one's getting in ' ' it's out of control ' . And they managed to shut down thousands of miles of border in two days. I gotta say I am impressed !

 

How to stop this problem:

Stop bombing countries in the first place, and put any politician/official whom seeks to profit from misery in prison indefinitely.

 

Looks like the border wall is dead forever. But at least for once they did the right thing and kept the government fully running. I bet it hurt his heart to give in to the Dems though .

 

I think that the wall was a lot of boil and bluster on his part, but the Dems now have to start listening to people as well if they are to win in 2020.

Taking Rudeman down is relatively simple:

1) Take him on with his economic plans and show up their shortcomings whilst also putting into plan a proper way to help the disaffected and disillusioned voters in the 'Flyover' States.

2) Apologise for the way they treated Rudeman voters as 'deplorables' etc. Not every Rudeman voter is a racist/sexist/misogynist etc. and more flies are caught with honey than vinegar, so a bit of humble pie won't hurt.

3) End identity politics and focus on the individual rather than group-think.

4) Stop the moral panics and let us work towards peace between all peoples both intra-nation and internationally.

5) Prepare a fully costed manifesto and do not BS the electorate - in this age of cynicism, the vote of the average worker is critical and parties can no longer rely on loyalty from people when no loyalty is shown to the people.

6) Put Common Sense first - that will definitely make America great again.

7) Refugees and migrant crises can be halted by not bombing their homelands to sh*t in the first place.

8) Move towards the centre and have a candidate who is not a Clinton nor Sanders but a unifying person who will speak for all Americans, even Republicans and Third Party Members.

A Human Body cannot function without all of its parts and faculties intact, just as a country like the USA cannot function if some of its parts are ignored, abandoned or neglected.

 

The economic is something they need to focus on for sure. It's still good but not everyone is benefitting. And the markets are hurting which if not corrected can result in another melt down. The problem with going to the center is they will have to be careful not to piss of the faction that has moved far left. If they do they will end up fractured like the Republicans party is now. But I agree they can't appear to far left. I'm not sure if they should apologize. That could back fire with the base and Americans in general may take it as a sign of weakness. Which is bad in our culture. But they need a plan to show Mom and Pop in the towns they care and want to help. The wall was bullshit from the beginning yes. His own party doesn't really support it. The cost is too high. But he kept sticking with it becomes it was what his base wanted to hear. Why they thought our government would spend that kind of money I don't know lol. We will spend it on bombs and planes to drop them sure . But a wall no. I wish the bombing would stop we've been at war in one form or another for more than ten years. I don't think it will though. Their are almost as many Hawks on the left as right.

 

It's a bit like Momentum on the far left here - though they have popularised Labour and Jeremy Corbyn, they risk losing traditional Socialists come the next General Election to parties as diverse as the Scottish Nationalist Party, Plaid Cymru (Welsh Nationalists) on the left and English Democrats and UKIP on the right. If traditional Dems were to move to other parties (Independents, Greens, even Tea Parties and Libertarian movements) then that would similarly cause issues.

I think that at least an admission of 'we went too far' with a lot of the abuse might help, and it would show that the Dems are prepared to listen and have a soft, sympathetic side which obviously DT does not have - he is the embodiment of a Bull(sh*tter) in a China Shop. You will always lose a certain group at every GE/Presidential Election as one group will think you are being too tough and will go elsewhere, whilst another group will think you aren't being tough enough. I'd personally not worry about the 'Angry McAngryfaces' on either side, as nothing will appease them and they will still be shouting and screaming whatever the policy, and I'd focus more about bringing Centrists and disillusioned Republicans into the debate.

On both sides of the Atlantic, the next elections need to put the ordinary worker first and not the raging left/right and the celeb classes who will be angry either way and also not as affected by the policy as the middle/working class. If somebody thinks that Michael Moore or Kanye West will really be impacted by POTUS Election 2020, then I will struggle to take them seriously.

He definitely will try to retaliate. But I don't know how much ammo he will have. With Democrats controlling the house in a few days and Republicans controlling the Senate not much legislation is going to make it to his desk. They may be willing to compromise and work together on some things but I think for the next two years we will have more of this. Either Dems and Republicans won't be able to reach a deal or Tr.ump will make it all about him and not the people when they do, and refuse to sign a bill or make unreasonable demands. So he will fuck his own party as much as Democrates.

 

Tr.ump has played right into the hands of Dems this time. Last night every Dem on TV said the same thing more or less. We want our border security but with technology not an expensive inefficient wall. A Congressman from my state has already promised that the Dems will make sure all affected workers get paid when they take over the House. Tr.ump is the gift that keeps on giving lol

 

Well Tr.ump is going to try and offer a deal to get funding for his wall. A deal that is similar to ones Democrates supported before but that he rejected. He said because he wanted the courts to work out DACA . Now that DACA is in the courts he wants to offer a similar deal. The difference between then and now is one : DACA is moving through the court system and two: Democrates were bargaining from a position in the minority last time now they are in a majority in one chamber and feel they have the moral high ground. Why would they take that deal ? They probably won't. I thought this guy was a master at making deals? He doesn't seem very good at it. He could have had some funding for his wall but didn't want to take the deal now he's offering a similar deal but isn't in as strong a position as before. No wonder he has declared bankruptcy so many times.

 

This is how I think this shutdowns and wall issue will be resolved. I'm just guessing and could be completely wrong but this seems to make some sense. Democrats will agree to give Tr.ump more than 1.6 billion for border security, but not 5.,7 billion for a wall. Tr.ump will take the extra funds build more fencing and slating and say ' Hey I won I got my wall' even though what he gets isn't an actual wall. And what Dems have said in the past they would be ok with. Tr.ump has already backed off the concrete wall demand( then went back to it but hey it's Tr.ump ) He made an offer he knew Democrats wouldn't take to say he is trying to negotiate. And as far as the left Pelosi has shown she had no fucks to give about him particularly with her saying he can't use The House Chambers to give TSOTU address. She may play hard a little longer just to drive a point though but her goal is accomplished already. Now I'll probably be wrong and this shit will drag out for months. But if I'm right Tr.ump will convince all you supporters he's won even though he didn't get what he promises y'all lol

 

With Roger Stones arrest this morning I bet Tr.ump ramps up his fight with Pelosi to try and rally his base and distract from the fact Mueller is getting closer and closer to him and his family. Be prepared for more fake ass postering and bluster. And it seems even his base now is getting tired of his shit. His gut was wrong this time it seems. Let's see if he goes after the National Emergency now or picks a fight. I got 20 on a fight haha

 

Well a short term deal has been reached on border security. And as I said no money for the wall. Tr.ump caved . Now it's only for three weeks and he can of course hold parts of the government hostage again in an attempt to get funding then. But as of now this caps off a month of losing for the Orange facist! Checks and balances, this is how our system is supposed to work !
