There are countless numbers of universes. It's foolish to think we're the only living beings in existence.

The chicken is a result of countless genetic mutations in a series leading from reptiles all the way to avians. The reptiles had been laying eggs long before avians existed though slightly different eggs. Avians developed many traits over time. These traits lead to the proto-chicken which was infinitesimally close to but not quite yet a chicken.
As with Mythbusters, I'll mark this one up as 'plausible'. I don't believe that we are the only life out there but more than a huge chance exists that with the vast distances of space and the 'odds of galactic chance', should they exist, most likely, they are so far away, we will never encounter them.
People have ridiculous expectations when they think about life outside of planet. Life could be bacteria, weird jellyfish, insects, snakes or some other weird shit we will never categorize.

I used to be way more into it when I was a kid, but these days I don’t think about it beyond the chances of us finding single-celled form frozen.
It'l remain, fantasy, movie-fodder, speculation, hypothetical and probably a few other apt words worth until some sort of proof turns up. I'm open-minded enough to believe it 'plausible' if highly unlikely. *Prob have the Vogons turn up wanting to build a hyper-space by-pass and Earth is in the way now* *sighs*
We're a freak of nature all on our own. If we are not then we haven't been visited. Good luck breaking the rules of physics.
