Yeah, I have it on Blu-ray. One of the greatest "understated" acting performances ever, imho. I'm not embarrassed to say that the movie brings tears to my eyes every time I watch the scene of Atticus Finch leaving the courtroom after the verdict.

Another couple of reads that I couldn't put down were Dennis Lehane's "Mystic River" and Stephen King's "The Green Mile", both of which were well adapted to film.

Hard to pick a favourite... anything by John Grisham or Frederick Forsyth is very good though.

Have just finished Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman. Was a good read and if you're into Norse Mythology stories its a good read.

Not sure what's next, I think I just read the last book I had to read :/

I don't read a lot these days so I'll start with a few I read when young. To varying degrees, they have influenced my thinking and my life.
I was encouraged to read 'the classics'.

    Peter Pan
    Moby Dick
    Huckleberry Finn
    Black Beauty
    Peter Rabbit
    Alice in Wonderland
    Wizard of Oz
    The Wind in the Willows
    Heidi
    Charlotte's Web
    Sleeping Beauty
    The Ugly Duckling
    The Little Mermaid (Non-Disney)
    Gulliver's Travels
    The Emperor's New Clothes
    Treasure Island
    Call of the Wild
    The Jungle Book
    Blinky Bill

There's a few that I can think of.

Of my recent reads: (Recent being last 5-10 years)

    Outlander series
    Dragons of Pern series
Clan of the Cave Bear (The first four - The rest were too 'soap opera' for my tastes)

    That will do for now.

I have 2. First one is To Kill A MockingBird. Was made to read it as a school project and like most teens didn't bother. But when I did I couldn't stop, I read it once every year.

Second is The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski. I've real all 7 books of his but the first one stands out the most for me.
