Yup! My way of holding on to sanity - or at least a part of it :)

Fantastic! But I am sorry about the nerve problems :( I am guessing you were classically trained, and subsequently branched out to blues and rock, played professionally which led to the nerve damage (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? Ulnar nerve?)?
I play blues, 80s rock/metal (hopped on the 80s shred brigade thanks to EVH, Vai, Paul Gilbert etc). I do dabble with fusion only when studio jobs call for it (with questionable success lol). So pretty much I play rock live, and record rock flavoured solos in pop songs in studio sessions. Dangerously flirted with tendinitis and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome a few times, but fortunately being a medical person, I managed to escape from it being full blown.
How bad is yours? Did you consider surgery?
Cool that you’ve done studio work, and fusion at that. Impressive! Even though I’m a huge prog rock fan my playing is more like Kiss or maybe Foreigner. Just an old rocker who loves to crank it up and play Hot Blooded! :D

Woo hoo! I could have guessed that from your supercool long hair! (I want your hair lol). I love Rush, and some of the earlier Dream Theater! But listening wise, I love to anything from classical, pop, R&B, soul, jazz. fusion to metal :D
This thread is in danger of being derailed by us music lovers lol, so I will b&w an old shot to still hopefully retain the thread's topic (while still on music :p)

Lol, thx! My last official haircut was 1988 and I’ve been playing for about that long as well (really dating myself oh my!). So I should have a lot more gtr ability actually, but my practice is so haphazard. Took lessons for a few years then self taught after that. I really dig the stage pics you’ve shared, clearly natural presence when you have the guitar strapped on. Rock on bro!

I did stop for a very long time, but depression got me back to practicing technical shred stuff - and it really has been helping a lot! :) Almost no time for gigs anymore - the pic below was my last one for my hospital/faculty fundraising event a year go :p
Rock on bro!
