When i was shopping at the supermarket today and I had unloaded my weeks shopping onto the belt. Looking back a lady was behind me with like 4 items. So I did the gentlemanly thing and asked if she wanted to go before me. I try to do this every week when I go shopping cos I se it as my one good deed for the day..but today I was genuinely shocked as for the first time in around 20 times of me offering the lady said no thanks it’s ok I’ll wait. “Are you sure” I said, to which she replies bless you but I’m fine to wait. It brightened my day for no real reason I can think of..
