I tan easily and I don't burn. Summer is when I get golden skin. The rest of the year (the bloody cold months) I'm a pasty, dull yellow. Not even kidding, lol

That's my strategy too, which has the same fail results as yours. In the summer, I live in the sun wearing tank tops and shorts or dresses, and with as much skin showing as possible on the beach, as would be decent.
