What does a woman see in a man?

There is a great song by Jimmy Webb called "What does a woman see in a man" that makes a pretty good job of listing our common failings. This site is sometimes good at exposing some of our many other faults too.
I'd be interested to know just what the ladies on here do see in men and perhaps more importantly, what do they look for in a good man?
 
Oh goodness, this one is hard to describe!

It's just when you know you have met the guy that compliments you. Having common, true, sexual desires helps. I dont mean just sex but when 2 people can intimately discuss any kinky thoughts in the mind, without judgement. Sex goes in a relationship. I feel this happens because someone holds back and the other desires. Damn shame.

Aside from this, a man's love and respect for a woman means the world to me. To love someone, he makes you weak, yet to partner so well that he makes you invisible and of course vice versa :)

Actually I already know. I'm just bloody impossible to live with!
 
Not sure what most woman see in men. But unfortunately the woman im stuck with for now seems to see monwy in me. always seems to be about the money. Any females want to try an brightwn my thoughts on that?

Well I like both parties to make money. Do I want a man to pay his bills, maybe mine if I'm in trouble a time or 2 (cuz I've done plenty of that for men I've been with). I would love a guy that doesn't spend lavish but to know if he wants something, he works hard for it. To have toys and vacations without being late on bills. To pay for car troubles or fix them himself if he can (very sexy btw). Anyway, point is, if shes a mooch...drop her. If she contributes and you both fair well but she is high maintenance, well, you will have to out weigh the sex on that one! Hahaha

Contributes only when her child suppoet check comes in. Other than that no income for a while now. Does marriage make it ok for her to be high maintenance?
 
Well, what we see runs the entire spectrum but what attracts me is charm, wit, intelligence, sincerity and respect. That interest grows in time as more things in common come to light. I guess I put being a good companion ahead of most things. I don't sleep around and a lot has to happen and a lot of time spent together before anything intimate is on my menu. It may never get to that stage, but should all the stars shine and all the planets align, its a nice bonus for the companion I enjoy spending time with.

Um no! Unless you have accepted it and are irritated now. Hey, I get someone if they stay home with kids and you guys discussed that and hell, child support is a life saver. Question is, are you irritated with her as a person. Sounds like the answer is yes. Bolt my friend...sorry for my 2 cents
 
Well call me old school ; but i would pay the bills . The woman can have a job for spending money on her important goodies !!!! And i would still wine and dine her so she would know that i desire her and love her dearly daily !!

I am irritated with her as a person. Dont be sorry i already had the feeling it was gonna end like this.
 
I know you asked for a lady's opinion but Im going to comment anyway. I hope she see's me as a man who has given all he can to his family, a child and an exwife, while loving her with all my heart. Family is everything and Ive tried my best to give this family a happy life.

I've had 2 goes at this marriage thing so.. I have learned that consideration and emotional support, support support support...Oh and humour, understanding, support, and good sex.
Kids... now then, do not ever underestimate the amount of stress, worry, physical exertion, emotional rollercoaster and thought that goes into bringing up children. Add to that a job and housework and your wife will be spent before she's 40. I believe that mothers need to be there for their children 24/7 and working is only an option if she needs it for survival or her own sanity.

Have you found people that are open to discussing sex openly? I would be interested without any pressure on you.
