As people age, face loses fat and fat droops downward, creating different face shape and wrinkles or creases develop.
I think it's unnecessary at young age, unless one was in some disfiguring reconstructive procedure as a result of some accident or an unfortunate medical condition.
Before and after both look great in their own ways. The before does appear more youthful. The after appears more of what marketing prefers which doesn't necessarily reflect the reality, just from certain perspectives.
Photos are from different angles and under different lighting conditions, so it makes it more difficult to compare.
