We've addressed a lot of the concerns form the previous old chat downtime thread and look forward to getting more suggestions.

Some of the major changes are:
  • Performance upgrades, for those that complained of lag, please let us know if any improvement.
  • Bug fixes, various quirks in the system have been addressed.
  • Layout changes.
Many of these changes have already taken effect, you can check them out live now in the new chat rooms, most of the visual changes will be incorporated next week.

Don't forget to check preferences and customize to your personal specifications, a lot of the feedback last time was related to individual taste, not problems with the software.

The new chat lags on firefox
 
Firefox is known to have issues. Firefox has been all sorts of broken over the last few years. I stopped using it completely well over a year ago.

Chrome and Edge should be fine. So should Safari, Opera and others.

But it run fast on old chat and it doesn't drain the battery as chrome does.
