Need help with spam ban

Hi I'm a personal user of the site and have been for years. Suddenly I'm banned for no reason and I would like help becoming unbanned. I am not a spam account I use the site like every other user and it's not fair that I've been banned. Why did this happen?

The exact error is:
Your account or client is banned: VPNs are not allowed as they are commonly used for spam. Countries known for spam are also blocked. (84273f05)


I DO NOT SPAM! I DO NOT USE VPN!

I have used AVG browser and Google Chrome here for YEARS
 
AVG browser is likely being flagged as VPN. You're not banned, the connection being flagged as VPN is blocked.
 
OK, I had a similar situation last night (early this morning @ 0130 CDT) where I got "caught" in the anti-spam. At first I figured there was a site change and my Goggle Fiber ISP was being thought of as "non-residential." However, I had also recently (a few days ago) finally set a location in my profile (as "USA - Midwest").
After some sleep, it dawned on me that if this site is checking my IP location against my profile location - matching that would be a stretch and it might be the reason for thinking my IP address is non-residential.
My solution was to login using a phone hotspot IP address and updating my profile to remove my location. Now things work with my original Goggle Fiber IP address too.

So, unless you all also did something else to help me out, that worked for me.

Also, since I could not log in to use the support forums last night, I sent a "ban appeal" even though I knew it wasn't a ban - sorry about that @Stanthropical. I promise next time, if there is an issue, I'll "sleep on it" first. Please close out the ban appeal... unless you're also going to ban me for being dumb. Thanks.

Tks for trying to help. You may have said I'm not banned but it's still acting like I'm banned..

I've tried using my mobile to access and get the same thing on it too..

Something is causing your ISP's network to be flagged as a VPN or a proxy. The connection is blocked. There's no ban on you.

There are a lot of spam/scams coming out of your country.

If I'm not banned how do I get access to the chats when the site says it's banning me or my 'client' or whatever? I use the same browsers I've used for years and the site is suddenly blocking access to the chats. I don't use VPNs or proxys and nothing has changed on my PC that should be causing any blocks or bans.
Your site has suddenly started blocking me. I'd like help regaining access to the chat. Can you help with that?
I believe it's most likely your site that's erroneously blocking me because I haven't added anything new or changed anything on this PC so trying to figure out what's going on then?

I'm goin to ask my ISP about this too.

Lots of countries/specific ISP's are banned, because of large amount of spam and scams coming out of them. It's just business. FCN must protect its userbase and website.

I contacted my ISP and had the IP changed and it still doesn't work
You're bullshitting. You don't like me for some reason and don't want me in the chat.
I'm in the USA using Chrome, are you banning every single USA chat member using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome on every ISP then???

I don't believe you anymore you're full of sht

I could have been clearer - when I switched to use mobile I was using it as a gateway (aka hotspot or whatever your phone calls it) so that I would not be on the same network as my home ISP. If you have wifi data enabled on your phone then it's browser is still using your home ISP. Be sure your phone has cellular data enabled for your browser and turn off wifi in phone settings. That way you'll be using your mobile carrier's top level domain instead of your home's ISP. Also, to make my home ISP's work long term, I removed my FCN profile's location info. I only use forum so I don't know about chat profiles nor do I know the FCN algorithm for chat but, I was in IT for a long time - one thing that it might/maybe/could be doing is using geo info about your connecting IP with other data about your account - for example your chat profile location. I suggest taking away your chat profile's location so there is nothing to mismatch. But first, you'll need to connect using a network without a proxy other than your home's ISP - i.e. your mobile carrier's cellular data network. Just trying to help - your mileage may vary.
 
It **only** uses your IP# for connection info, for location/connection in chat.

Just fyi I don't have hotspot feature on my phone right now or I'd try it. Why are we jumping through bullshit hoops though? If FCN doesn't want to fix it so bad I'll stop coming here. Doesn't look like they're giving me much choice does it ha

I really wouldn't expect you to at this point. Talking about this issue has resulted in nothing but a waste of time. What's the difference? lol

Your site doesn't work and you've offered no solution and barely any explanation at all.
