What focal length lens will I be taking with me on my hike…24mm, 35mm, or 50mm 1:1 macro?

Given your recent restarting with macro, I'm guessing the 50mm 1:1. (I had one once. But traded for the 100mm. I had had to bend myself into impossible positions for the 50mm).

Am I taking a telezoom or prime lens to the bird hide Saturday?

yeah, the 50mm 1:1 with an extension tube can be awkward. I have to get within a few inches of the subject. Was windy today…so swaying flowers with a dof of 0.1mm under the canopy of trees equals only a couple nice shots. Was a great hike though. :)
