Me too. I understand why the choice was made. And I foro one have gotten used to it now, sort of. But perhaps it has played a part. It's reality, though. It's not going back. I do sort of still hope the 'vibe' will eb and flow back to something more familiar and welcoming (for lack of a better fitting term).
To rekindle an old friendship with someone who knows you really well, only to loose it again. Makes me doubt who I am, my actions, my words, if I'm even worth friendships or if I should just keep to myself.
