Basically yes! The amp includes the speaker, as well as all the different setting to adjust the sound, make it distort, sometimes has built-in whacky effects. But ya, it's pretty much a fancy speaker! But they all have they're own specific sound. The one I rented today is a smaller version of what the Beatles used to use, as well as Brian May from Queen.
