Group Banter Race to a million

There is a lot that I don't like about that movie, and only a few things I do like. But I also recognize that many of the things that I don't like about it, I would feel the same way about the original trilogy if it came out now. So I recognize my hypocrisy, but I still can't get myself to like it.
For me it's not so much about the storyline but more about how Johnson was trying to open doorways for the future. The Skywalker story was over, move on. Kylo literally says it in the film. Forget the past, kill it if you have to. The little stable worker slave kid in the film who has nothing to do with anyone showing he's force sensitive and Kylo telling Rey that her parents were nobodies meant more than anyone seemed to get and it annoyed me. Yeah, alot of it was just a waste of time but it could've and should've been the beginning of a whole new thing.

I would have really liked grumpy old man Luke if they had a good reason for it.

Luke: guy who saw the good in his father, the most evil man in the universe, and saved him. The guy who believed in the Jedi order and the Jedi way.

Then suddenly his angsty teenage nephew has dark thoughts and hes like "this is all dumb and bad and imma go be sadboi about it"
Well it wasn't just dark thoughts he slaughtered Luke's students and burned his temple down.

It's the guilt from that why he becomes hermit luke

Ooo yes this I agree with! So ya, not really Johnsons fault that they just said forget it to everything he tried to set up.

Maybe they should've had some kind of plan in place for these movies.

Maybe they should've got one singlle director they were actually happy with to sign a contract for all three films. That way it wouldn't be such a mess.

Fans went boo so Disney went boo. How dare he try something different and think of the future.
