Haha Is only a scam if the people who are marketing it as such are Scammers. if done properly isn’t a scam is it.

That's besides the point. Almost all "free range" chickens we buy, at least here in U.S., is marketing bullshit. It's just not feasible to allocate so many resources and time to have chickens freely running outside in the grass, picking bugs and worms in the sun... I can't even imagine that in countries with very limited real estate. The cost would be madness.
