Once most of the people who were alive/remember it are gone, it becomes less real and people feel like they can joke about it bc it’s a fact they read about instead of something they lived through

Spoilers I guess. It just had an ending out of no where with the main character looking out the window of his office and the camera zooms out to show hes in the twin towers on 9/11
