I've noticed just in the last couple years theres been a LOT more memes and stuff joking about 9/11 so it's definitely starting to happen
Kind of sad. People become numb to it and do distant from the memory.
I usually wait at least 4 hours before I start making jokes

Once most of the people who were alive/remember it are gone, it becomes less real and people feel like they can joke about it bc it’s a fact they read about instead of something they lived through
