I can appreciate you trying to make a point, but it came across as a trivialisation of a serious social issue. Which does nothing to back up your point but adds fuel to the fire.
You end up coming across as bad as you perceive those you are trying to educate.

Either way your lack of empathy to any offence caused by using this hashtag to cause shock is quite dissapointing.

No. you framed youself by choosing to make a point with the choice of the hashtag you used. I assume chosen to cause shock. As someone who is close to people who have suffered serious abuse I took offense. You could quite easily have apologised in your initial retort but chose not to. Almost trying to justify your use of the hashtag. As such I feel obliged to reply and now you are playing the victim.

Make no mistake this has nothing to do with the previous issues in this thread. And had you not used #metoo I would have quietly wondered on my merry way.

There was an older man in this thread who treated them with utmost respect, consistent kind words, then politics happened, some really nasty posts and a voice clip were sent in his direction over politics and he left the thread. Even involved his gf or whatever. Where were you?
Where were you each time they disparaged content and posts of other users in other threads, continually motivating each other to keep going?
Where were you when Nazi shit was posted?
Where were you when genocidal jokes were made?
Where were you when they talked about how they matter and their feelings matter, but apparently fuck everyone else in other parts of the Website who are socially or otherwise beneath them?

Wow.... Such a long post to avoid apologising. Nothing I have have said by any means condones any of the actions of people in here. If I take offense to something I act on it. I by no means see as much of it as you do and frankly I don't give a fuck. I have a life outside of here and spend quite a bit of time in it.

In terms of Hijacking... no sir, you chose to involve me and could have easily made this end however I feel you like the attention and the opportunity to showcase yourself. All I ask is that you apologise for trivialising sexual assault. If it makes you feel superior I did see the nazi picture and recognised it from old british tv, I did however say nothing. I saw that a number of people had already dealt with the issue and expected it would sort itself out through dialogue between those concened

I apologise unreservedly for not repoting the nazi picture.

So I will assume you have no remorse and leave it at that. I would appreciate that in the future you refrain from using the topic of sexual abuse for your own gain.

For my part I will attempt to be more proactive in reporting bad behavior as I see it and be a more active community member.
