To beard or not to beard?

I wear a Goatee and I know I have grey hair coming out in waves on it but I don’t care! I know a lady that likes my scruff so it’s staying there for now! I’ve never been able to fill enough on the sides to grow a full on beard so it’s a Goat for me!!
 
Beards let men get away with not shaving. And if it's styled, not maintaining it for a week at a time or so.
 
Got your salt and pepper shakers out...

I'll add my $0.02c worth here.
Personally, I prefer a clean shaven face. But saying that, I don't mind a full beard either.
What I dislike is when it just looks like the guy hasn't shaved for a week or two. I am not a fan of the 'scruffy' look. :)

Thank you! The other part of the equation is that I just don't think I could pull off the look as well as you and some others do.

My only real attempt was half-hearted during a post-college, 'I-refuse-to-shave-until-I-get-a-job-interview' phase.
You can actually see one of the (many) rejection letters on the wall in the background of this ancient photo.:rolleyes: Lol.

Hmmm, I think it's interesting these days at the explosion of facial hair among the male population.

I had a goatee for years and then eventually just grew mine out. Had it so long now that when I've shaved it, I've immediately let it grow out again.

My reasons are many tho .. laziness is one, I hated shaving. The other is that I look too young (yep, there is such a thing) for some aspects of my work...

The other day i came across this pub which is popular amongst studrnts because nice, not expensive and near the university... There were some group of people about to leave for the next party, there were about 20 guys aged 18 -25 id say... I only saw 2 guys clean shaved..several hipster beards...and anything between...

Same here... People still seem to think im younger than i actually am. A couple of years ago i became a manager of a team team. They were all older than i was. It did add a touch of "seniority", at least in my case...
