Can't access any rooms

How are you connecting?

Which web browser and version are you using?
Edge, Norton, Gener8
Are you using special settings or extensions?
No
Did you update your software recently?
No
What is the error message you're seeing?
No error, just failure to load
Have you attempted any troubleshooting?
Tried without anti-virus. Have cleared history, cache and cookies
From Monday this week, I've been unable to access any chat rooms.

I can see the room lists but when click to join, nothing happens.

I'm on Windows 11, using Gener8 browser - but have same issue on Edge and on Norton Private Browser. I've tried disabling Norton anti-virus with no success. Have also cleared history and cookies but still no joy.

UKCHAT.CO.UK is working fine - only have issue with fcn

Any suggestions much appreciated.

I've got exactly the same issue. I could access the rooms on Monday, but today computer says no.

I've got an Asus Vivobook, wifi, Windows 11, Norton antivirus, no extensions etc. I go to the rooms and just get a blank screen. If I click on the list of rooms I can see that there are people in them, I just can't access them.

Guess this is FCN's way to make it so I have to concentrate on work today haha

I admit, I have got more work done this week than I might normally have..
 
Dev says a patch has been deployed and the issue triggering anti-virus software should be fixed.

You may have to hard-reload chat so you have the latest version (clear data / cache related to FCN, or just reset the browser if you don't have any important logins / offline data).

Thanks for the advice - I cleared all cache, cookies and history but chat still does not open any rooms. I can see room lists, click to join and nothing opens. No anti-virus warning appears, just simply appears to do nothing at all.
 
Whitelist (add to exceptions) the following URL's in your anti-virus software, if you're willing to do so:
schat.freechatnow.com
freechatnow.com

This is a temporary solution.

Norton and Avast are on meth which is causing them to block the connection.

FCN doesn't run any malicious code.
