The only place I know where it is frowned on or illegal is South Korea. While it is illegal to get a tattoo there are plenty of tattoo parlors. Legally only a doctor can give you a tattoo. South Korea's conscription law rules men with large tattoos unfit for the military because they cause "abomination among fellow soldiers." To this day I am not sure what makes a tattoo a large tattoo unless you have one of those Japanese Yakuza entire back tattoosOk that may be it then. Most U.S soldiers I know who served have tats of some kind. But they can't be visible while in uniform. So none in hands ,face neck.
