You are my daughter's best friend. Your home life was rough, so our house was always your second home. Me, my wife, and my daughter decide that with your relationship with your family at its worst, and our daughter going away to her dream college, you should move in with us and take over our daughters now empty room. You get the benefit of being away from a toxic environment, getting to start your adult life around a supportive family. I get the benefit of having someone to spoil now that my daughter is off on her own.
With time we grow comfortable in the new setup. Having a fun beautiful young woman around starts to change with how I feel about both you and my wife.
