A dance of two

A little piece I wrote for a friend tonight.

A blurred line, a friendship tested.
Twixt the cold lifeless scrawl of screen font.
Lovers for naught, but onwards we search.
A friendship tested.

A mind renewed, spirits delve deep.
This be the darkness of poetry abound.
Blind, cold and afraid, the pulsing of fingertips.
Spirits delve deep.

Careful hands, a quiet embrace.
Who before us has yearned of this fire.
To know of this heart, this solitary becoming.
A quiet embrace.

But what will cry, two worrisome hearts.
Oh the darkness my dear never left this soul.
A trouble afoot, the quickening pulse.
Two worrisome hearts.

A surprising return, a friendship strengthened.
For the test of our bond ne'er ends on this day.
But shall we survive, that is the matter.
A friendship strengthened.

You know who you are that I wrote this for.

I don't know much about poetry and stuff but that is really good. Is this the first time you wrote something like this?

Thankyou very much :) No its definitely not my first one, I have about 25-30 notebooks full of poetry and other of my mind wanderings (as I call them anyway). I find it's the best way to express myself at times.

I assumed it wasn't your first one, its way to good not to be. I had a teacher who always said the best way to let her emotions/feelings out was to write it down. What do you mainly write about?

For some people writing is the best way to express themselves. Others talk, others get it out in all sorts of ways.

There is nothing in particular I mainly write about. It varies with the day, my mood, my surroundings, my company. Many many things influence writing.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you go about doing it. Like do you just start writing your thoughts outs and work from there?

Most of the time there is a trigger for the thought. Something that makes me a feel certain way. I just run through it in my mind, go over my feelings on it, some words usually come to mind and then I run with them and expand from there. Once I get the start, the rest of it flows through. Sometimes you have to really think about how you want it to start and end and then the middle builds itself.

It's going to be different for every person though. So really just go through a thought and see what happens.
