Suggestion Ability to add guests as friends

Biggest gripe right now is not able to do so. Even more frustrating is trying to find if that person is online because we have to try and manually find them.
So second suggestion would be to sort by country all the people online rather than search each individual chat which in some cases you can't access when it's busy.....ty
 
The problem with adding guests as friends is that there is no way to do so since you can only add registered users, one benefit of registering. Anyone can log in using a specific guest name
 
Yeah, Guest friends is can of worms. Imagine anyone you don't know logging as a guest you follow and you give them some personal information without knowing....

There's no database or account validation/authentication for Guest logins either, so no way to notify all the logged in parties of specific Guest arrival.
 
Oh I see. Didn't realise this but thanks. Is it possible to perhaps implement the second suggestion? So it's easier to sort people by country... Ty
 
It would be a little weird, because country is not displayed in the list. You'd have to click on users to see their country anyway. Some people don't like their country being displayed in the first place, so them getting sorted by what they want to hide is a dicey situation.

We now have a #UKchat, if that's your cup of tea.

Sorry I should have explained better, but I got an excellent tip off one of our mods recently, if I search 'kingdom' it displays everyone in the UK that's currently online which is great BUT it searches within That group only. So my suggestion is if we can search all the people online rather than just one private room. it'd just be perfect.
 
Not sure that would be an appropriate function to implement. Searching users across all chat rooms, including private ones sounds almost like a stalking activity or invasion of privacy to a certain extent, maybe? Will leave this up for devs to read.

Hmm not really cos you can do it anyway but just in a more awkward and time consuming way. But like I said first, this is only to find guests and for them to find us as we cannot save each other. Stalking doesn't really come into it at all tbh cos you can only see if someone's online lol
 
There won't be a shortage of opinions. That's for sure.
 
Didn't want to add an unnecessary thread So I'll ask here, is there a way for guests to block pm's. Why is it the guest Users get so many more pm's than members? I'm guessing of course it's simply because people don't know who that guest really is...
