Banter Annoying things about cold/winter season

I’ve been in -40 before doing cold weather training at Fort Greely Alaska, but I couldn’t imagine having to stay in it all winter! Burrr!!

I think the coldest it ever got where I lived was -48C but felt like -55 with the wind chill....and that's where my daughter grew up. A 5-year-old standing outside in the pitch black, blizzard conditions, -40 temperatures waiting for the school bus. Move back to bc, we get an inch of snow and the schools close, and the city is at a standstill...wtf lol She's built tough lol

That’s too funny! Must be some hardy people to live in those environments, much respect! We are the same way in the south, if it is reported that we may get snow they close the schools.

Its not so bad if you buy the right gear and learn the tricks to cope. It still sucked but those extreme cold temps didn't last longer than a few days. Being closer to the coast it feels colder being a wet snow...cold to the bone and can't warm up
