I think the issue is that people don't come here to go to tumblr... or kik, or snapchat, or whatever else is out there. They're here for this site, for the most part. There are always those that post their profile names for other sites, and a good percentage of those are people trying to get you to pay for the services on that site... I don't really know how it works. I know tumblr isn't like that, I'm just sayin'.
Maybe if you filled out your profile, added a pic, perhaps a link to your tumblr page in your information section - it'd go a long way in attracting more people, and finding those who are interested in similar stuff. My 2 cents.
