What is the definition of a nerd to you?

To me, it's someone who has traditionally nerdy hobbies. I don't believe calling yourself a nerd for just being passionate about something counts. I also don't assume nerds are academics or intelligent, that doesn't qualify anyone to be a nerd. In fact, that's not what i'd call myself. I enjoy fandoms, fantasy, larping, anime and other things like that. But if you're academic, it can count.
